Digby John PRICE is the fourth cousin five times removed to: 
Major Digby MACKWORTH 1868-1900 [the 2nd child]
who died  at Wagon Hill, Ladysmith South Africa, he was killed in action. 
Digby MACKWORTH was the 2nd eldest of 12 children. 
2 of his brothers also served and were KIA in ww1.

Lest we Forget.

Digby John PRICE is the 3rd cousin 6 times removed to Sir Arthur William MACKWORTH who was the 6th Baronet, Lieut-Col. R.E., D.L. , and J.P., for Monmouthshire who married in 1865, Alice Kate, the daughter of Joseph Cubitt, Esq., C.E., and had issue of 7 sons. [and 5 daughters].

Sir Humphrey MACKWORTH 7th Bart. was born in 1871. {the 2nd born son] He gained the rank of Lieutenant in the service of the 3rd Battalion, Royal West Surrey Regiment.  He fought in the Boer War. He held the office of Justice of the Peace (J.P.) for Monmouthshire. He gained the rank of Captain in 1902 in the service of the Royal Monmouthshire, Royal Engineers. He succeeded to the title of 7th Baronet Mackworth, of the Gnoll, Glamorgan [G.B., 1776] on 8 March 1914. He gained the rank of Captain between 1915 and 1919 in the service of the Remount Service. No issue:

Sir Harry Llewellyn MACKWORTH, 8th Bt. (the 4th born son) was born on 17 March 1878. He married  but died without issue on 18 November 1952 at age 74, His 3 brothers, Digby 1868-1900 (1st born son), Francis 1876-1914 (3rd born son) and Arthur 1886-1917 (4th born son) were all killed in action.  Harry Llewellyn MACKWORTH b1876, fought in the Boer War between 1899 and 1902, where he was mentioned in despatches twice. He was decorated with the award of the Companion, Distinguished Service Order (D.S.O.) in 1900. He fought in the East Africa Campaign between 1903 and 1904. He fought in the First World War, where he was mentioned in despatches. He was invested as a Companion, Order of St. Michael and St. George (C.M.G.) in 1918. He gained the rank of Colonel in the service of the Royal Engineers and Royal Signals. He was Chief Signal Officer of the Egypt between 1924 and 1927. He succeeded to the title of 8th Baronet Mackworth, of the Gnoll, Glamorgan [G.B., 1776] on 2 May 1948. He married but left no issue. After the death of Sir Harry Llewellyn MACKWORTH the Title passed to the son of his brother, Captain [later Vice-Admiral] Geoffrey MACKWORTH who also served in ww1 and at one stage was the Captain of HMS Hood.

Distant DNA as the generations go by  -  but still a part of the PRICE/MACKWORTH family history.
Sir Arthur William MACKWORTH the 6th Baronet b1842 is a 3rd cousin 6 times removed to Digby John PRICE b 2014.  Their common ancestor is Thomas PRICE 1674-1737 from the Channel Islands, who is the 3rd Great Grand-father of Sir Arthur William MACKWORTH [1842-1914] the 6th Baronet, also Thomas PRICE 1674-1737 is the 9th Great Grand-father of Digby John PRICE b 2014. Family history connects us all.
